Probation Specific Projects

SVC has collaborated with probation services through strategic partnerships and innovative initiatives. By collaborating with county probation departments, SVC enhances program effectiveness, community engagement, and service delivery.

  • SVC has assisted numerous Juvenile Probation Departments with the C-CFSR process by considering the unique needs of Probation placement youth and developing comprehensive Probation strategies for the System Improvement Plan (SIP).

On an ongoing basis, SVC provides technical assistance in implementation of the SIP, including policy development, and facilitation of stakeholder engagement and focus groups. One example of technical assistance SVC has provided is assistance to Marin County to evaluate their parenting classes and provide recommendations for modifications.

  • SVC worked closely with Napa County on their Probation Transformation Initiative, working with the Probation Department and stakeholders, using the Social Determinants of Health (SDOH) to inventory programs serving Probation clients.  As a result of that review, the Probation Department is working to build more health care and neighborhood service programs, held an open house for stakeholders and clients on the transformed services, and is reaching out to the LatinX community with positive, preventive, transformative services. SVC has also assisted in the completion of the Juvenile Justice Realignment Block Grant report.

  • SVC assisted Sacramento County PYJI with extensive youth engagement, facilitation, project management, quantitative and qualitive data analysis, report writing, and policy development.

“Shared Visions has been an excellent and attentive partner to work with. Not only has Shared Visions been timely, prepared, and professional, but their knowledge and expertise have been indispensable in fulfilling the mission of our department.”
